Just as we trialled last year, all THREE courses in 2013 will involve riding the INFAMOUS Australian National Road Cycling Course (although we will indicate a short cut option for those wishing to avoid the hills).
The three courses involve quiet undulating country roads with the 100km Classic and the 3BA 85km Classic event involving the daunting Mt Egerton hill.
The course for the 3BA 85km Classic and the 100km Classic both go through Gordon before the 100km course heads north into some of the most pristine riding anywhere in the country. All ride options come together in Dunnstown before re entering Ballarat for the return route up Macarthur Street followed by a clockwise ride around the lake back to the Yacht Club Precinct.
The 60km Classic is a great course being suitable for the casual rider who would like to undertake an achievable ride. The option to shortcut the course to take out the Mt Buninyong hill and reduce this ride to 50km is also available. So dust off your bike and start training today for this great ride.
